Middle Ground

How hard would it really be to just

think about the words he said?

He was trying to make us imagine

an alternative to ending up dead.

The more I hear his song the more it

makes sense to me.

I am able to empathize with him and see what his eyes did see.

There is no sense in fighting all of these wars -

There needs to be some middle ground, unlike any seen before.

Poverty, famine - people scared for their lives.

children, women and men alike.

A lot of people thought he was crazy, but really,

he was one of the sanest people of his time.

He was able to picture a peace filled world inside of his mind.

No one took the time to listen to the things that Lennon had to say

but the message that he was sending out could have helped our world today.

The violence, the blood and the gore… Are they really worth it anymore?
