A mother's love is unconditional

no matter what her kid may do

I guess I had to have one of my own

to realize that this was true.

We try to teach them right from wrong;

But they already have it set in their minds

what they're going to do all along.

No doubt that over the years this will be problematic for you two

But in reality there isn' t much that you can do

You can try to discipline, preach, and yell

This could be positive or it could be pure hell

whichever way it goes it won't be until they're grown

and when they have a kids of their own

That they realize it's easier to forgive than to blame

For all of the times they had to bite back the shame.
